Important Neighborhood Interests To Your Doorstep

Some who receive the Squire Park Newsletter have wondered aloud how it gets there. Four times a year, members of the Squire Park Community Council board and other neighbors deliver nearly 3,000 newsletters. The main reason for doing this is the hope that you’ll come to a community council meeting—maybe because there is something on the agenda that interests you, or maybe because you have something you want to talk to your neighbors about.

On January 12, the featured discussion will be about land use and development in the neighborhood. In the near future, the Seattle City Council will consider major changes to the Land Use Code that affects much of Squire Park. We would like to bring neighborhood concerns to the City Council as it makes its decision. Councilmember Tom Rasmussen will attend the January meeting, and we’ll be able to talk to him directly about this and other concerns.

Please consider contributing to the vitality of your neighborhood by working with your community council on January 12.
